How do you do long exposure/light painting? I've tried to look at a few things like this, it's amazing!
I just bought a Canon D500 and really want to try out some stuff, this is truely epic!

place your camera on a tripod, with the shutter speed tilted to whole numbers (like 1 or up to 30 or BULB, instead of the fractions like 1/30 or 1/60 etc).

the rest of the settings are the same things you do when shooting (and have the patience for it). hope that helps.^^

you're welcome.^^ and you need a wired remote also...so that you can click the shutter/take the pic without touching the camera. if you touch the camera, there's a tendency that you'd tilt it a bit...so having a tripod wasn't that much effective. I mean to say you need the tripod AND the wired/wireless remote.

then after that is the time you go for the creativity and experimenting on the settings.^^
